How did the arkana
letter society start?
The Arkana Letter Society started from my desire to artistically express the chaotic ideas in my mind. Digital collage was the means that I found to put on paper everything that I couldn't explain with words.
While I admire the art of analog collage, the digital form was the way I found to deal with my creative flow. Even though I use a tablet, I still hold the pen when cutting the images, which fuels my need for manual handcraft when creating.
When I am making something, I feel like my thoughts slow down, my focus intensifies, and the creative flow becomes stronger. With the Arkana Letter Society project, I invite you to slow down, focus on the tactile experience, and let it inspire your own creativity.

A mail club is usually a subscription where you receive a letter containing various items every month. There are mail clubs for art, poetry, short stories, literature, and more. As mentioned before, many of them require you to subscribe, but Arkana Letter Society does not have a subscription model.
-
I believe that the subscription format has its benefits. The biggest one is the convenience of automatic monthly payments, guaranteeing that you get your product.
However, no matter how hard we try, we don't have control over life's unexpected events. If something happens and I can't deliver what I promised, I would be disappointed in myself for not keeping my word.
For this reason, I decided not to use a subscription system for the Arkana Letter Society. Plus, you have the freedom not to buy an edition that doesn't appeal to you. This way, I feel that I respect both the value of your money and your trust in me, as well as my own ethical principles.
-
The Arkana Letter Society follows some standards that many other mail clubs adopt, like sending an art print, a personal letter, and other little goodies.
What makes the club different is that you also have the chance to create your own art using the papers included as goodies. This way, you can share your creations online, forming a community that helps and supports one another. Plus, we all grow together as artists, whether as a pure hobby or professionally. :)
Remember to tag @arkanasilentii if you want to share your creations on social media. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's art!

Yes! I currently live in Europe, more specifically in Sweden (not to be confused with Switzerland), but I ship internationally. If you can't find your country when checking out, send me an email and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Note that, unfortunately, I cannot send to some specific countries. I appreciate your understanding.
-
Right now, due to PPWR (Packaging and Packging Waste Regulation) being implemented since 12 August, small businesses across the EU do not have the financial means to comply to those rules. Therefore, many of us decided to temporarily suspend shipping within the EU, with the exception of a few countries. Today (last updated: 14 September), I can still send to:
Belgium
Czech Republic
Ireland
Malta
The Netherlands
In October, the EU plans to run another round of meetings and votings to hopefully make it easier for small businesses to comply with the PPWR.
If you care and support small businesses, you can sign this petition.

Shipping is included in the listed price for either Sweden and international.
-
Sweden: 3 to 5 business days
International: 2 to 6 weeks
-
We know how anxious we get when we're waiting for an online purchase to arrive at our door! However, because the Arkana Letter Society is sent via standard letter (untracked), please wait up to:
3 to 5 business days (Sweden).
10 to 30 business days (international).
If your letter doesn't arrive, you have two options:
A refund for the cost of the letter.
The shipment of a new letter.
If it is not delivered again on the second attempt, unfortunately, we will have to refund the full cost of the letter and a third attempt would not be possible.
